The Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt

I came across this store this morning, strolling along the 4th level of Trinoma Mall. I wonder what's in store. I wonder how great is the yogurt. And I wonder . . . I wonder.

Along with food buddies, I invited them to try this out. We know it's another yogurt store, but we also wonder if they're really living up to their name, with a "golden" spoon. We giggled and joked around, why it's named after that - why gold? Go figure. However here are some facts about the company, where it originated, and so on.

This (photo above) is what you will see upon entering the store. The menu board is quite simple. As of the moment they have 6 yogurt flavors: pineapple, belgian chocolate, boysenberry, tart mango, simply tart (plain flavor) & cake batter. If you see in the menu board photo above, those flavors situated side by side, can be ordered together in a swirl type.

So basically, we have no idea what they taste like, FORTUNATELY, the accommodating and friendly cashier, offered that we can have a taste, "free taste", of what they taste. This is BRILLIANT! Normally, there's no free taste in the past yogurt stores I visited, you have to buy them first before actually knowing the taste. For this arrangement, I definitely will bring my friends over. :)

Free taste before purchase :) (L-R: Pineapple, Mango Tart)

Sizes. Kiddie (Php85.00) & Small (Php155.00) both are on the same container, except there's a bracket indicating up to where it can only reach. I have a photo of the small container below. If you see the red line above the brand in the tub, that's the bracket of how tall the Kiddie size is.

We first ordered one Large (Php220.00) container, this is good for sharing. :) A topping costs Php20.00, but there's an option. You can get the toppings as is, like a topping of gummy worms, a topping of mochi, etc. And you also can get 2 or more toppings for half the quantity. Like what we did with our order: toppings: half mochi and half oreo all for the price of Php20.00.

You can choose from these variety of toppings. :)

For the large size, you can get 2 or 3 flavors in one tub. No need to pay extra, all for the indicating price of the size you will be getting. For the one we ordered, we tried the swirled Simply Tart & Cake Batter. The lady who assisted us said that Simple Tart, Cake Batter & Belgian Chocolate are the most best selling flavors for Trinoma Branch.

A few minutes after attacking this yummy dessert, we ordered another one. This time we got the Small size and opted for 2 flavors (boysenberry and belgian chocolate) only, no toppings.
